Are you doing everything but just can’t seem to lose weight?

You’re doing everything you can to lose weight. You’re watching what you eat and working out. But why aren’t you losing the belly fat?

Now here’s a bit of good news. According to health.com, a tiny bit of fat on the belly won’t hurt. Belly fat actually protects your intestines, tummy, and the other sensitive organs in that area.

But all you need for protection is a tiny bit of belly fat. Too much belly fat is bad for your health. If you have too much belly fat, you need to trim it to spare yourself from certain health conditions like diabetes and heart disease. The good thing is that once you start losing weight, your chances of getting diabetes or any kind of heart disease become less.

So go on with your diet and workout to trim that belly fat. If you’re not seeing any kind of promising results, then stop and take some time to analyze the following.

Your Diet

Now is a good time to assess your diet. Are you on a low-fat diet? If you are, then that might just be the reason why you can’t trim your belly fat. Eating monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) is good for you. So even if you’re on a low-calorie diet, you need to make sure you get enough of these MUFAs. So start incorporating some bits and pieces of avocado and nuts to your diet. A bit of olive oil wouldn’t hurt as well.

Now take a good look at your diet again. Are you eating too much processed food? What exactly are you eating for your snacks? If your diet includes chips and other processed food, you’ll really have a hard time trimming that belly fat.

Here’s another thing you should consider with regards to your diet. Are you missing out on something? If you’re on a limited food intake, your diet might just be missing an important mineral that your body badly needs. Take a good look at your diet and see if it’s lacking magnesium.

If you’re on a limited food intake, your diet might just be missing an important mineral that your body badly needs. Take a good look at your diet and see if it’s lacking magnesium.

Magnesium is considered as a miracle mineral. It does wonders for the body. As a matter of fact, it helps lower insulin and blood sugar levels. You can get this miracle mineral from soybeans, green veggies, and bananas.

Here’s the next question. Are you focusing too much on your food intake that you haven’t had the time to really assess that kind of drinks you’re having? If you’re drinking a lot of diet sodas then that might just be the reason why you aren’t able to trim that belly fat.

Diet sodas don’t help at all. Don’t be deceived by them. You usually end up eating more with diet soda. The mere thought that you’re drinking a diet beverage gives you the illusion that you can overeat. Water is the best diet beverage.

At this point, you already know how important it is to include MUFAs into your diet. But if that’s still not working for you, take a closer look at your diet. Are you eating too much saturated fats?

According to research, you are better off eating polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) than saturated fats. So skip the burgers and stick to salmon to get a good dose of PUFAs. You can also go for protein-rich foods like chicken and legumes. They’re low in saturated fat.

The color of your meals can also be the reason why you can’t trim the belly fat. Are your meals almost colorless?

The color of your meals can also be the reason why you can’t trim the belly fat. Are your meals almost colorless? Do they look boring? According to the article, you should eat healthy meals that consist of colorful foods like vegetables and fruits. These kinds of foods contain a lot of vitamin C. So start adding more color to your meals.

Your Moods

Another reason why you’re not losing your belly fat could have something to do with your moods. Have you been feeling low lately? Or maybe, you’ve reached the menopausal stage.

If the answer is yes, then get up and exercise. It’s the best way for you to beat depression and the belly fat as well.

Your Alcoholic Beverages

One or two drinks won’t hurt, right? Wrong. If you just can’t seem to trim your belly fat then a drink or two can do more harm than good.  Alcoholic beverages contain a lot of sugar and you don’t need that especially when you’re trying so hard to trim the belly fat.

Your Workouts

Now is a good time to assess your workout routine. Are you sweating enough? What kind of workout are you doing? If you’re not able to trim your belly fat, then maybe it’s time to change your workout. According to research, a high intensity interval training or HIIT can trim the belly fat faster than a regular workout.

So maybe you’re not doing everything to lose the belly fat. Think and seriously consider the things that have been mentioned above. Who knows, one of the things mentioned above might just be the solution to your belly problem.

So what is your weight loss challenge?

  1. The hardest part to trim is the belly part. No matter what I do, the belly area remains the same. I just hate it! I can’t wear a tight shirt because the bulges are too obvious. I can’t hide the muffin top. I am nearing menopausal age but I am seriously exercising. It;s just that nothing is happening to my belly area. I guess it must be my diet.

  2. Water is the best beverage, whether you’re dieting or not. I usually drink two glasses of water before meal time. It fills me up just right and I don’t overeat.

  3. I was having a hard time losing a couple of pounds. I couldn’t understand why. I mean, I was exercising so much that my body ached badly afterwards. In spite of all the pain, I still wasn’t losing any weight. Then my doctor told me to watch my diet and I did. I got on Bistromd because I heard it was good. I figured, why not give it shot? I did give it a try and eventually found out that it wasn’t just good, it was effective. I started to lose weight. It really helped me deal with the physical pain that came with losing weight.
